RIGHT IN THE CENTRE, WITH ALL THE ADVANTAGES OF THE PEDESTRIANISED AREA

Corso 12 offers suites in the very centre of Rome near the Spanish Steps.

The Tridente area is Rome’s first “environmental island”, created to offer better quality of life and new routes on foot or by bicycle; Corso 12 offers you the chance to stay away from the chaos of traffic, enjoy walking through the city centre and rediscovering the cultural and historical identity of the whole area.

EVERYWHERE YOU WANT TO GO, AT ARM’S LENGTH

Choosing Corso 12 means finding yourself at the entrance of the famous “trident”, where Piazza del Popolo gives origin to the three main streets of central Rome: Via del Corso, Via del Babuino and Via di Ripetta.

Via del Corso is a large artery that ends in the awe-inspiring Altare della Patria, near the Basilica of St Mary of the Altar of Heaven and the Campidoglio. Its length of more than a kilometre and a half is flanked by historical buildings, baroque churches, the Galleria Colonna, and some of the main official buildings of the Republic, such as Montecitorio and Palazzo Chigi.

Via del Babuino is the epicentre of elegant shopping, and leads to the famous Piazza di Spagna. Two nineteen-century churches face the street: Anglican All Saints Church and the Sant’Atanasio dei Greci, a Byzantine church. Via dei Greci, one of the elegant pedestrian transversal alleys, is the home of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory.

Via di Ripetta is the only one of the three streets of the trident that still preserves the popular character of old; it runs along the Lungotevere and ends up in the large and articulated Piazza Augusto Imperatore, where it changes name and continues as Via della Scrofa. From here, it leads to Piazza Navona, to the Pantheon, and to the churches of Sant’Agostino and San Luigi dei Francesi, which host very popular works by Caravaggio.

Parallel to Via del Babuino runs Via Margutta, a picturesque and fascinating narrow pedestrian street. Several famous films, such as Roman Holiday, were shot here. A few steps from Corso 12, behind Piazza del Popolo, opens Villa Borghese, a green oasis in the heart of Rome, with more than 50 fountains, very popular among runners.
